Mana Lee was born and raised in Canada, but spent most of her young adult life traveling around the world. After living for awhile in Scotland and then Japan, she finally found her true home in Seoul, South Korea, and lived there for three years. It was there that she fell in love with the language, culture, and entertainment and received the inspiration for her novel.
